Looking for Jobs? Ready to Explore 5 Key Points to Get Noticed?
It seems that finding the right opportunities is not a problem. Most job platforms are full of postings. Getting any response from recruiters or companies might be another matter though.
Did you make sure that you stand out? “How?” you probably ask. These 5 points may point you in the right direction…
One and One Immunity
The immune system is a miracle of creation. It is the most efficient mechanism that protects us from harm. It is so complex that the scientists still do not fully understand it. What we call the immune system is a tireless network of organs, proteins, white blood cells and other cells and tissues. Our innate immune system is there for us from the moment we are born. The adaptive immune system is ever-developing when our bodies are exposed to viruses, bacteria, toxins etc.
Indigo
Indigo has been with us for thousands of years but it was Sir Isaac Newton in the 17th century who used the term ‘indigo’ to describe a colour when he demonstrated that the white light was composed of 7 visible colours, indigo being one of them. Until then, the word ‘indigo’ was used for the dye, desired by many. The dye was made from a plant called Indigofera Tinctoria, which had been cultivated predominantly in Asia and parts of Africa; some sources mention Peru as well.
Busy being lazy
Our world is getting faster and faster. Smart gadgets are allowing us to do more things - to work more, to play more - and yet we feel less and live less. So many people appear stressed either being busy or not being busy enough.
A holistic approach is needed to both - busyness and laziness. Busyness by be great to boost our self-esteem but it may also make us stressed and sick.
We may have good reasons to be lazy but have to be careful when and why we are lazy.
Violet
The last colour of the rainbow - violet - can be obtained by mixing the colours red and blue. It got its name from the violet flower. Violet, as well as indigo, are a slightly controversial colours. You may have read the article ‘Indigo’ from our ‘Rainbow Of Your Life Series’ where we spoke about it. People see colours differently and what one person sees as violet, another calls pink, yet another blue or indigo. In the case of the colour violet, even the language plays an important role.
With the right motivation we can fly
Many say that motivation comes from the outside while inspiration is an inner “job”. I no longer see it that way. What do you think? I believe that it does not matter what you do or whether you work for yourself or someone else. It is actually you and your attitude that matters most. Unless you have your inner drive and desire to achieve your goals and do a great job, even the greatest motivating factors of the greatest company in the world will not work. Motivating tools wear off over time.
Blue
“Blue is the favourite colour of all people”, was the first sentence I came across when researching for this article. “Hold on”, I was thinking, “My favourite colour is green”. Then I opened my Address Book where I keep notes about my friends’ favourite things (as an inspiration for birthdays or Christmas or “whatever-else" gifts) and started laughing. Blue is the favourite colour of all friends I had this info available for!
True inspiration is always nearby
True inspiration can be often found much closer than we think. In recent years, many people have been turning their heads towards renowned personalities looking for inspiration, for guidance.
Why not to fit in
As far as I remember I always wanted to fit in but never quite managed. “The need for acceptance is a basic human instinct – although some value it more than others.”, says psychiatrist Joanna Cannon. Yes, it is safer being part of the crowd but I would argue that if we are in the bulky part of the Gauss curve we may be achieving only average results. Through Adam Grant’s research for his book “Originals” I finally …
The Golden Circle
We are not talking about the tourist route in Iceland here. We are talking about a concept described by my favourite author Simon Sinek in his book Start With Why. Following in the footsteps of others who were looking for the “golden ratio” for the perfect proportion or beauty, Sinek was looking for repeatable and predictable results or, in his words, for “order and predictability of human behaviour”.
Rainbow of Your Life
“Richard of York Gave Battle In Vain”, I was in awe when I was learning English and came across this wonderful mnemotechnic verse to remember the colours of the rainbow. We did not have anything like that! I never thought it was important either, although, as is the case with most people, I love rainbows. Aren’t they magical? They make us feel good. But what are they other than optical illusions?
Why am I researching Why
“Why is it that some people achieve great things and some fail miserably doing the same things the same way? How is it possible when their WHATs and HOWs are the same? “
Conflict. Approach? Avoid?
If you have been traumatised by conflict, you may avoid it at all cost. Unfortunately, that can lead to some pretty damaging behaviour that puts you more at risk physically, emotionally, and financially, than the conflict itself.
Shedding light on human health and behaviour
Light is one of the main variables influencing the routine of live organisms on our planet, it is the main source of energy directly or indirectly. Light is part of our lives since we were born.
